Talent Orchard, LLC has been contracted by a top defense firm in their search for a Technical Writing Manager professional for opportunities in Fort Gordon, GA. 

 

Responsibilities
 

Support ARCYBER G2's Intelligence Support and Security Operations. (Position 65)

The Technical Writer shall perform functions in support of the G2 as directed by the G2 or Division Chiefs. These functions include, but are not limited to: writing and/or editing of intelligence or intelligence-related products IAW ICD 203 or other designated policies.

The ARCYBER Security Office is a customer service-oriented environment. Contractors are expected to deliver a customer-service focus. Contractors are expected to provide deliverables on timelines set by the government.

Oversees the editing of material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications. Edits manuscripts by reviewing content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use and revises manuscripts to meet predetermined standards of style and accuracy. Looks for inconsistencies of thought, development or organization. Confers with authors to recommend treatment of material. Reorganizes, cuts or rewrites as necessary. May edit copy as well. Allocates print space for story text, photos, and illustrations according to space parameters and copy significance, using knowledge of layout principles. Plans the contents of publications according to the publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements. Verifies facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources. Oversees publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget requirements.


Qualifications
 

Proficient in writing systems and cybersecurity documentation.

Familiar with various modes of written communication such as project management plans, training materials, status reports, and briefings.

Edu/Exp: HS +11-14 Years, BA/BA 5-10 Years, or MA/MS +3-6 Years.

Normal duty days/hours: Monday – Friday/0800-1700. However, due to work in support of multiple missions globally, and work in support of a 24/7, 365-day mission, working outside normal duty hours may be required as missions dictate. In these cases, contractor will notify the G2 Technical Monitor of the need for an Extended Work Week, prior to the additional work commencing unless the requirement is emergent. In the case of an emergent or urgent requirement, work may commence upon government supervisor approval. The G2 Technical Monitor will be notified NLT the next duty day.

Be prepared to travel to support a total of approximately 6 or more Combatant Command-level and Corps and below-level events each year.
