@Orchard LLC is supporting a fast-growing Federal Prime Contractor in their ambition to identify and hire a talent Telecommunications Specialist with an active TS clearance (SCI preferred) who has or is able to obtain a CI Poly.

About the role:

The Telecommunication Specialist utilizes skills and experience to perform project tasks. Ensure telecommunication requirements associated with the government are met. Coordinates and works with internal and external organizations for solutions. Employs risk management practices in supporting security goals and objectives.

Telecommunication Specialists Tasks:

• Have access to unclassified, secret classified, and top-secret SCI classified systems and information required for the performance of duties. Have access to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) space as required for the performance of duties.
• Perform the daily maintenance O&M of the TSC’s telecommunication systems.
• Assist TSC personnel in the utilization of TSC’s telecommunication equipment.
• Provide training to TSC personnel on the utilization of TSC’s telecommunication equipment.
• Monitor the TSC work ticketing system for telecommunication related support request tickets. Respond, update and close tickets from the TSC work ticketing system.
• Work with the TSC Senior Audio Visual Technician on projects and support requests that require both telecommunication and AV support.
• Participate in departmental cross-training efforts as both instructor and trainee.
• Manage special projects as required and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Document project and / or assignment daily status in the work tracking database

Your background will include:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience providing telecommunication services or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Ability to correct malfunctions by testing, analyzing, and restoring telecommunication systems to full capacity.
• Knowledge of Avaya telephone hardware and software.
• Knowledge of Polycom and Microsoft Lync VTC hardware and software.
• Able to train end-users in the proper use of telecommunication equipment, including but not limited to Avaya telephones, Polycom VTC equipment, and Microsoft Lync.
• Familiar with basic IP network administration.
• Proficient in utilizing routine computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer).
