The Sr. Cyber Policy Analyst will conduct research, analysis, development, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations. The Sr. Policy Analyst will provide technical expertise on projects, analyzes, assesses, and develops future strategies, policies, and doctrines. S/he will support interagency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides concise, actionable communications. Assesses programmatic issues, conducts risk analysis, and proposes innovative and achievable solutions.
  • Provides content for developing reports and briefings on policy, strategy, and doctrine activities. Mentors mid-level and junior staff.
  • Performs research of complex public policy issues ranging from energy and health care to national defense and homeland security.
  • Conducts research using both qualitative methods and quantitative methods, such as case studies, survey research, statistical analysis, and model building.
  • Collaborates with technical staff to develop data warehouse.
  • Uses spreadsheets and statistical database programs, such as SAS.
  • Prepares policy reports and briefs of research and presents findings.
  • Analyzes legislative proposals.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of existing government policies and programs and formulates recommendations regarding strategies to achieve identified mission.
