CONTROLLER

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Controller provides financial and operational support to the organization. The Controller will maintain the General Ledger, prepare Financial Statements including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Statement of Changes in Cash Flow, bank account reconciliation, cash management and other duties as requested.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements, cash flow projections, internal management reports, and reports to third parties for use by Executive management and managing partners.

Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants including any PEO arrangements.

Monitor banking activities of the organization.

Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.

Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Customer, and Vendor/Subcontractor Management

Oversee business insurance plans and health care coverage analysis.

Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets.

Help ensure financial and operational success through cost analysis support.

Create and maintain a documentation system in all accounting processes.

Maintain and track financial and operational metrics.

Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.

Assist in the coordination and activities of independent auditors and the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.

Manage the consolidation of financial statements, foreign currency translation, intercompany allocations, depreciation and amortization, deferred revenue, and other payables and receivables

 

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quickbooks Accounting and SalesForce Reporting
• Minimum 5 years of experience in all aspects of accounting.
• Previous experience in software as a service (SAAS) industry related finance/accounting required
• Possess strong financial and business acumen.
• Possess organizational skills, attention to detail, critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in utilizing financial software and reporting technology.
• Solution-oriented and process-driven.
• Ability to structure and organize a chart of accounts to reflect operational and business activities.
• Ability to investigate and reconcile historical entries to bring accounts up to date.
• Ability to communicate complex financial and accounting data to cross-functional team members.
• Tax preparation experience.
• CPA preferred
