Talent Orchard, LLC has been contracted by a top defense firm in their search for a Network Technology Consultant in Quantico, Virginia.

Responsibilities
 

Should include both a strong business background and a core technical knowledge in networks. This role is a techno-functional role with a focus in network mapping utilizing Visio and other tools. 

Under minimal direction, blends the right combination of specializations to conceptualize, design and develop total system/product solutions for enterprise-wide information technology and/or engineering/manufacturing processes. Leads major portions of large or medium projects, and leads small projects autonomously. Gathers facts through research, interviewing, surveys, etc. analyzes the client’s business, draws conclusions, prepares final reports and gives presentations. Uses in-depth consultative skills and business knowledge to practice business objectives and processes.

• Translates customer and organizational objectives and critical success factors into actionable business, organization and technology strategies.
• Creates information technology plans based on an understanding of the customer's organization, strategic direction, technology context and business needs.
• Leads and works in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and/or product solutions.
• Architects, designs and develops integrated business/engineering systems and products to support the achievement of the customer's business goals.
• Leads others in the definition of project scope, plans and deliverables including cost projections and proposed implementation dates.
• Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues.
• Assists leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the division/organization.
• Works with others to develop and propose new business and technical opportunities to leadership and/or the customer.
• Researches, evaluates and stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.

Qualifications
 

• Requires a DoD Secret or higher clearance
• Requires 5 to 8 years of experience. BS/BA Degree preferred
• Must have strong experience with Visio and MS Office
• ITIL v3 certification preferred
