Talent Orchard, LLC has been contracted by a top defense firm in their search for a Cyber Security Specialist Senior professional for opportunities in Quantico, Virginia.

The Navy Marine Corps business group provides end-to-end IT solutions to the Department of the Navy including transport, networking, end user hardware and services, cybersecurity and staffing.  Using agile engineering and DevOps methods, we produce mission-specific solutions to solve the Fleet's challenges.

Responsibilities
Under broad direction, operate and manage all aspects of Information Systems, data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. 

Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems. 

Develop and execute security policies, plans, and procedures; design and implement data network security measures; operate Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics; conduct performance analysis of Information Systems security incidents; develop COOP/DR plans and support certification of Information Systems and Networks. 

Supervise operation of Electronic Key Management System, other information security duties, and Public Key Infrastructure. 

Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presence security tools, Virtual Private Networks, and related security operations. 

This position will be Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) policy focused. Candidate must be comfortable writing POA&M's and updating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) from DISA website. 

Qualifications
 

REQUIREMENTS
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD, degree in related field.
At least a Bachelors’ degree in relevant IT field required.
• Must have a DoD Active/Current Secret Clearance or higher.
• ITIL V3 certification strongly preferred.
• Certified at IAT III
o Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level III: (One of the following)
o CISSP
o CASP CE
o CCNP Security
o CISA
o Accordance with DoD 8570
