Social Work Manager

A local non-profit organization is seeking an experienced and mission driven Social Work Manager to join their dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position will provide leadership in an interdisciplinary team setting and take the lead in coordinating the delivery of high quality and efficient care for patients and their families. This position will also be responsible for ensuring smooth operations for the Counseling and Support Services departments.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting supervisory field visits for clinical team members;
• Overseeing staffing and scheduling to meet census needs;
• Training new staff and providing ongoing support for existing team members;
• Participating in Joint Commission survey readiness;
• Maintaining patient confidentiality; ensure compliance to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess two years of leadership experience in a healthcare environment. Master's in Social Work degree is required; LCSW is preferred or must obtain within three (3) years of employment. Minimum of three years’ experience working as a medical social worker is highly desired. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records is required. Ability to multitask, excellent written and verbal communication, time management skills and keen attention to detail are a plus.
