Academic Services Specialist

The Academic Services Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing academic services for international students. The role displays a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, ability to mentor tutors and clients, and attention to detail. This full-time position is in Waltham, MA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow up with academic services inquiry; provide internal product training and sales support; communicate with customers to provide advice, support and/or make sales.
• Maintain academic services management system; communicate with the system provider to update system functions; provide system trainings to tutors and clients. 
• Match the best-fit tutors with students to ensure service delivery.
• Monitor tutor compensation and hours; review and process tutor invoice.
• Maintain records of tutoring-related data, including tutor and student lists, packages purchased, and hours used, etc.
• Manage tutors through check-ins; provide training to tutors.
• Track students’ academic progress; communicate with school and clients about student progress.
• Develop protocols for effective service delivery and streamline program operations.
• Implement student satisfaction surveys and manage expectations of students and parents.
• Compile and analyze academic services data.
• Work with the director to revamp the academic services program as needed to ensure the program quality.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Experience in education-related field
• Highly organized and detailed-oriented
• Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft Office Programs 
• Ability to research, develop, present, and promote programs
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Eligible to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in online academic service content delivery and management
• Familiar with American middle school and high school curricula as well as US education
