We are currently seeking for Automotive Design Lead for our downtown Los Angeles studio. A compelling candidate will support our Chief Design Team to explore new concepts, lead the innovative growth of the company’s global design capabilities, visualize BYD’s urban mobility strategy in a higher level, and help to reshape the design philosophy as well as brand identity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage both conceptual and product based projects
• Develop design solutions from sketching and rendering to clay and digital models, with consideration of engineering, manufacturing, and technology
• Lead the team to address design challenges and achieve high quality deliverables
• Conduct multi-disciplinary programs to support the studio expansion and the talent growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in automotive/transportation design
• 6+ years of experiences as automotive designer with demonstrated leadership in OEM studio
• Solid knowledge of automotive design process through inception to final 3D visualization
• Excellent design, visualization, graphic, verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to lead multiple projects independently and efficiently in fast-paced environment
• Exceptional ability to convert high level, conceptual thinking into solid execution plan with details
• Open to international travel for training purposes
• Must be eligible to work in the United State
