Are you ready for an opportunity that honors your skills as a Registered Nurse in an Infection Control setting? We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Infection Control Team at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. In a 4 day a week, 10 hour shift capacity.

Registered Nurse Infection Prevention and Control Responsibilities:

• Understands customers and their expectations 
• Is the first responder  and supports members of the work team in meeting customer needs
• Assist in directing facility-wide infection control program for the surveillance
• Assist in prevention and control of infection and communicable disease by development and revision of policies and procedures related to infection control
• Implementing surveillance activities in collaboration with patient care, microbiology, and pharmacy
• Performs patient centered care or service
• Provides education on infection control issues
• Reporting conditions as required by state and local authorities.
• Performs Computer data entry: Meditech/Array, Pyxis, PACS

Registered Nurse Infection Prevention and Control Education and Job Requirements:

• Current Colorado RN License (or Nurse Licensure Compact)
• Extensive medical/surgical experience required
• Infection Control and Occupational Health experience preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred
• Post secondary degree in a related field required
• Extensive computer knowledge in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and statistical programs
• Infection Control and Occupational Health experience Preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Immunization Record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B Series), TB test within the last 2 years
