Senior Accountant

Location: Los Angeles - 90015

BYD in downtown Los Angeles seeks a qualified Senior Accountant. 

Job brief:

BYD is growing with more activities/transactions involved and complex, so we need to add additional staff to the team.

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain accurate general ledger balances.

·         Coach a less experienced accounting staff.

·         Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly balance sheets and income statements.

·         Creates timely and accurate monthly closing, including reporting packages to the Group in China and various reconciliations.

·         Coordinates and responds to the Group in China for various requests.

·         Prepares various tax filing requirements and returns.

·         Performs other duties assigned by the CFO, Controller, and Accounting Manager.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or related field.

·         Three plus years of experience with business and accounting/financial reporting processes, systems and controls resulting in in-depth knowledge of accounting policies, internal controls and processes.

·         Public accounting audit experience preferred but not required.

·         Experience in SAP preferred but not required.

·         Good with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

·         Must be extremely detailed oriented, attentive to accuracy, well organized, ability to multi-task workload and a self-starter.

·         Knowledge or experience with cost accounting a plus.

·         Bilingual in English and Chinese.
