Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week - Occasional weekends or evenings.

Compensation$55,000 - $60,000/Year DOE + Benefits (please see below for full compensation details)

Primary Duties: To conduct outreach efforts within the community with the goal of increasing the number of families enrolled in the CalWORKs Stage 1 and Stage 2 Child Care Subsidy programs; which help low-income families find and pay for child care so that parents can work or go to school. The Community Outreach Manager will also be responsible for the coordination and execution of marketing and communication strategies.

  • Develop and create a comprehensive outreach plan; including identifying target outreach areas and most impactful access channels.
  • Will work in coordination with the Digital Communications Manager and the Director of Development and Communications.
  • Establish, develop and maintain partnerships/relationships with public, private and community organizations to promote enrollments.
  • Plan, attend, facilitate, partner in and publicize outreach activities aimed at promoting enrollments.
  • Organize, attend, and present at schools, non-profits, public and private spaces, neighborhood community meetings regarding the Child Care Subsidy programs.
  • Implement direct outreach activities in the field such as site visits, community canvasing, etc. in order to connect with eligible families.
  • Media Marketing management provides feedback and/or create email, social media campaigns.
  • Create outreach strategy reports and data regarding enrollment stats.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing preferred.
  • 2-5 years of non-profit experience preferred, including experience in the initiation, implementation and coordination of work in the community; experience working in diverse communities with a sensitivity to differences in multicultural settings and environments.
  • Excellent English and Spanish written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to translate English/Spanish is required.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-starter, can do attitude and positive approach.
  • Media Marketing Management; provides feedback and/or creates content for emails and social media campaigns.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point), and client database software.  Must also possess knowledge and experience with marketing automation, campaign management and email marketing platforms (i.e. Mailchimp or Bloomerang).
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license, have use of a motor vehicle and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.
