About the Role

The Director of Managed Security Services is responsible for the development, continuous improvement and growth of the services outlined above as well as supporting the consultants and analysts that deliver said services. The Director works with the VP, Security Services to continuously monitor the market to ensure our services and associated delivery approaches align with customer expectations and continue to serve as a competitive advantage. In addition, the Director is responsible for continuous process improvement to ensure CynergisTek is delivering the services in the most timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner possible in support of profit margin goals and employee satisfaction. The Director will work closely with his/her team members and managers to set goals, objectives, and expectations for achieving the strategic plan for the team. They will also work collaboratively with other service line leadership to support the larger organizational goals and strategy. 

 

The Ideal Candidate

The Director of Managed Security Services will serve as the most senior resource on the team and will represent CynergisTek in key client sales and delivery meetings via phone, onsite at client sites, or at industry conferences. The Director may be leveraged for his/her subject matter expertise to support marketing or thought leadership efforts. The Director will also support the professional development and growth of other members of his team to also support sales and delivery meetings.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Business Administration, Health Administration or related field required. Job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or willingness to obtain.
  • Management experience.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience or comparable experience in healthcare information security. 
  • Experience managing a SOC environment and associated tools (SIEM, ticketing systems, call tree, etc.) is required as well as experience in incident response and threat management.
  • Experience with medical devices and vendor security management practices are preferred. 
  • Ability to think holistically and identify areas of concern or non-compliance.
  • Understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills with ability to learn and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50%).
