Accounting Manager

Location:  Los Angeles (90015) 

BYD in Los Angeles seeks a qualified Accounting Manager.  

Job brief:

The company is growing and more activities/transactions are involved and complex. An accounting professional with strong accounting knowledge is desired.

Responsibilities:

·         Oversees daily activities of accounting operations required to maintain accurate general ledger balances. Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the staff of A/R, A/P, G/L, and financial analyst.

·         Coordinates, prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly and yearly balance sheets and income statements, financial analysis, AR aging report, AP aging report, inventory analysis report, including monthly review with Controller.

·         Creates and manages timely and accurate monthly closing, including reporting packages to the Group in China.

·         Coordinates and responds to the Group in China for various requests.

·         Coordinates and oversees accounting operations performed in offices, facilities, and factories of US, Canada, and Mexico.

·         Assists with budget and forecasting.

·         Assists with internal and external audits.

·         Reconciles and manages bank accounts.

·         Prepares and reviews various tax filing requirements and returns.

·         Performs other duties assigned by the CFO and Controller.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred but not required.

·         5+ years of experience with business and accounting/financial reporting processes, systems and controls resulting in in-depth knowledge of accounting policies, internal controls and processes.

·         Experience researching, analyzing and interpreting accounting literature to support technical accounting conclusions.

·         Proven experience writing technical accounting memos.

·         3+ years of prior supervisory experience.

·         Public accounting audit experience preferred but not required.

·         Experience in SAP preferred but not required.

·         Good at Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

·         Must be extremely detailed oriented, attentive to accuracy, well organized, ability to multi-task workload and self-starter.

·         Knowledge or experience with cost accounting a plus.

·         Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
