Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandiser within the Global team, the Product Manager for Men’s & Women’s Sportswear is responsible for accurate and timely product execution. Specific areas of responsibility include supporting the system-related operations of the Global Merchandising team and influencing the consistency of brand integrity.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all stages of seasonal category product development
- Manage all global reproduction sportswear approvals for Men’s and Women’s
- Maintain brand integrity with support from NY design team to ensure brand global alignment
- Maintain Royalty Zone or like system with partner requests/style modifications
- Provide input into fabric/trim details for all product categories – approve lab dips, strike offs, protos, samples and all other necessary approvals to ensure brand standards are met
- Responsible for achieving all calendar deadlines and ensuring partner collaboration to maintain seasonal deliverables.
- Maintain global orders – facilitate communication between vendor and global partners; assist with all aspects of bulk orders. Ensure receipt of monthly shipping reports from vendors and report summaries for commission/rebate collection
- Assist in managing Costco/Off price Global orders and product development
- Assist to maintain/Monitor Sample Receipts per season – follow up with showroom set up (pre-and post-market)
- Assist to maintain Notes & Changes per season – ensure timely and accurate communication to partners.
- Maintain AS400; Generate UPC for Int’l partners; Consolidate 7thOnline orders post market
- Ensure line list and market order book accuracy
Education and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in product development (international / licensing ideal)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Detailed attention to products
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all cross-functional and global teams
- Proficient in PLM, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Photoshop
