Work Schedule:             Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week.  Occasional weekends or evenings.

Start Date:                    Immediately

Primary Duties:

Content Development: Authorship of compelling messaging and content, including short form copywriting, copy editing, and proofreading. Creative direction of design and video production. Maintain and optimize website for client reach and fundraising.

Campaign Management: Manage integrated campaigns on communications platforms like: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, MailChimp. Creation of campaign planning and content schedules. Strategy recommendations based on campaign analysis.

Other Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage communications strategy and calendar.
  • Utilize strong writing skills to convey complex issues into messaging to share in digital and print communications.
  • Vision and creative outlook to improve existing campaigns and ideate new strategies.
  • Create, test, and optimize digital communication and fundraising campaigns.
  • Analyze web traffic, SEO/SEM, and email communication metrics, and suggest solutions to attract new clients, improve donor engagement, and increase online fundraising.
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments to create content for website and campaigns.
  • Coordinate activities and oversee quality of work by graphic and web design contractors.
  • Ensure that messaging fits with overall brand image and marketing objectives.
  • Maintain the organization’s website, blog, and events calendar.
  • Ability to assist in other communications and fundraising functions as needed.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
  • 5-7 years of solid digital marketing and social media experience. Non-profit and fundraising experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Early Childhood Education and Public Policy a plus.
  • Ability to utilize strong writing skills to convey complex issues into messaging to share in digital and print communications. Must have vision and creative outlook to improve existing campaigns and ideate new strategies.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual English/Korean, English/Armenian, English/Russian or English/Tagalog is highly desirable.
  • Ability to nurture respectful relationships with community agencies and leaders, and families and other community stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM. Hands-on experience utilizing online marketing tools such as Google ADWords, Google Analytics, HubSPOT, Mailchimp, etc. preferred.Experience with WordPress preferred.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license, have use of a motor vehicle and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.
