General Summary: 

Authentic Brands Group, a NYC branding and licensing agency, is currently seeking a Jr. Graphic Designer to join their in-house design department. As part of the team, you will support Sr. Graphic Designers on all design projects across multiple mediums that drive business and evolve the brand. This role will support our ever-expanding portfolio of 50+ brands, which includes Nautica, Tretom, Frye, Hickey Freeman, & Jones New York to name a few. This role will assist in projects such as brand guidelines, presentations, print & digital campaigns, newsletters, web banners, logo designs, and front-end web designs. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, excellent organization & communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage collection of brand assets and continually update materials per season
  • Prepare files for production including the design and release of mechanicals, prototype, and images for the re-toucher.
  • Follow brand guidelines to adapt and translate design layouts to various formats.
  • Assist in reviewing and providing feedback on partners' creative/marketing materials to ensure adherence to brand identity framework.
  • Assist Marketing & Creative teams in conceptualizing and creating marketing collateral for print & digital including: brand books, brand guidelines, presentations, advertisements, in­store collateral, web assets, emails, social media graphics, etc.

Position Requirements & Skills:

  • Graphic design degree or art background.
  • 1-2 years of experience or BFA in Design.
  • Strong, well-rounded portfolio that shows creative thinking and process.
  • Creative problem solver with clear attention to detail and organized, meticulous file preparation.
  • Self-starter with capacity to handle high work volume and balance multiple projects at once. Ability to manage own work and meet deadlines .
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CC (specifically lnDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) . Strong typography and layout skills.
  • Effective communication skills working with partners, design team, and other departments. A passionate following of latest design trends, fashion trends, technology, and social media . Must be able to commute to NYC on a daily basis.

  • Prior design experience in a corporate setting. 
  • Photography & video editing. 
  • Portfolio showcasing a variety of different industries.
  • Excels in highly collaborative environment.
