The PR Manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships with womens, mens and children’s media, as well as entertainment media. Daily tasks include relationship curation, management and development and researching new contacts and companies for partnership. Additionally, the PR ensures all possible angles for fulfillment for sample and image requests, as well as VIP requests, working with internal team members and partners.  The PR Manager also advises the PR Coordinator and PR Assistant on press day preparation, image requirements and executes summary reports. The PR Manager is responsible for brand-specific editorial reports and analyses. Additionally, the PR Manager supports on all brand event ideation, management and execution.

 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with editors, associate editors and senior editors in the media.
  • Proactively researches and takes ownership to ensure all relevant updates to print and digital media lists are kept, with respect to new brands, categories, markets and more to ensure maximum opportunity for greater brand awareness.
  • Works closely with PR Director on any news story pitches and category launches to secure meaningful coverage, as well as ongoing interest amongst news editors at print, digital and broadcast media.
  • Responsible for external media emails sent weekly; seasonal trends, round-ups, new launches, celebrity placements and more.
  • Responsible for all those internal press emails sent company-wide, for all brands, on behalf of the department.
  • Manages all press files and distribution for those brands personally managed; managing requirements for archiving, internal teams and partners.
  • Works closely with all departments and licensees to review categories and product to support maximum category exposure, and new opportunities for promotion. Taking note of product details, selling points.
  • Reviews top-selling reports and retailer activity to curate media pitches accordingly and adjust strategy.
  • Supports the digital content team as needed for content production and contribution.
  • Researches new media, brand-building opportunities and relevant topics of interest:  broadcast television, radio, digital, film, music, calendar activities, festivals, events, trends, collaborations and competitor activations.
  • Manages all VIP agency daily needs, VIP requests, purchases, orders for external agency.
  • Executes daily search of celebrities seen in those brands managed, utilizing traffic logs.
  • Manages archive of all press and VIP images for brands looked after, keeping departments and partners updated.
  • Provides seasonal summaries for international marketing team and partners, also providing press and event recaps when appropriate.
  • Archives international press shared by international marketing team to ensure all media is archived appropriately.
  • Ensures all product and VIP press releases are executed in a timely manner, working closely with the digital team to obtain images for purchase and posting.
  • Manages image sourcing and purchasing for all brands, including those not personally managed.
  • Manages sample and product order log and spend, including those not personally managed, on behalf of the team.
  • Manages sample organization and logging process for those brands managed, including Fashion GPS and closet organizational requirements.
  • Manages press reporting, working with PR Director, PR Coordinator and PR Assistant for various contributions.
  • Manages press days and press events for those brands managed; inclusive of concept, coordination, execution and subsequent reports.
  • Prepares analysis reports regularly for communications team members to review and adjust activity for strategic planning.
