Position: Manager, PR & Corporate Communications

Location: New York, NY

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of PR for ABG Corporate and Entertainment, the Manager of PR develops and drives integrated communications strategies that raise the Authentic Brands Group corporate profile and generate press stories for its entertainment portfolio, which comprises some of the world’s most iconic entertainers and athletes such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Shaquille O'Neal, Muhammad Ali, Julius “Dr. J” Erving and Neil Lane.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and a network of world-class partners to execute integrated communications strategies that drive brand relevancy and growth
  • Leverage strong editorial relationships to develop impactful media stories that appear in top-tier broadcast, print, digital and print
  • Secure and facilitate interviews and speaking engagements for ABG and brand spokespersons inclusive of messaging development, coaching and follow-through
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts and pitches to target editors and journalists
  • Develop and maintain PR roadmaps and T&A’s for all brands
  • Execute product seeding programs to editors, celebrities and ABG’s VIP network
  • Monitor, recap and report press coverage to internal teams and brand partners

Required Skills:

  • Proactive storyteller with the ability to initiate ideas and identify opportunities that support the overall marketing strategy and brand goals
  • 3-5 years of experience working in PR, preferably in the licensing, entertainment and/or consumer product industries
  • Strong editorial relationships across business and trade, entertainment, men’s and women’s lifestyle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of media (print, digital, broadcast, social)
  • Enthusiasm for the licensing, retail, entertainment and pop culture 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) – Keynote skills are a PLUS
