Summary

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President responsible for the overall management of the Street & Active Brands for the company.  This role will act as the lead in brand management for all partnerships and product development across the Street & Active portfolio.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead brand building & business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy
  • Direct the overall Street & Active brand strategy, vision, positioning and architecture.
  • Develop strategies and execute programs that maximize the development of the street & active brands to be full lifestyle brands via wholesale, direct-to-retail, and other unique licensed relationships.
  • Implement brand guidelines to ensure all licensees execute on Licensor’s direction
  • Manage and drive existing licensee partnerships, domestic & international for maximum revenue.
  • Analyze business models, negotiate and execute new license agreements to achieve strategic objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure achievement of the brand’s budget & financial goals.
  • Assist with the direction, implementation, execution and continuous improvement of the licensing processes.
  • Facilitate organization between cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze consumer, retail trends and information to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth.
  • Strategically partner with Business Development to find new areas of brand accretive revenue that support the over growth and distribution strategy.  
  • Partner with Business Development and Legal to negotiate new licensing agreements and to close deals.

Position Requirements:

At least 10 years of experience in licensing with skate, street and/or active brands with exposure & responsibility for brand management, sales or licensing programs:

  1. Proven track record in brand management and licensing. Sport brands and global brand experience a plus.
  2. Strong analytical and research skills
  3. Strong relationships with key retailers and channels of distribution
  4. History/Understanding of how licensing deals are identified and negotiation.
  5. Experience securing and managing licensing deals across a variety of product categories and channels of distribution.
  6. Must have a relentless drive to succeed, win business and close deals
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  8. Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organization as well as follow-through skills.
  9. Must have strong computer proficiency and well-versed in MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  10. Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task 
  11. Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus.
  12. Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires.
  13. Understanding of the international marketplace for streetwear brands and culture a plus
