Reporting directly to the VP Marketing Street & Active and the Business Unit Manager Street & Active, the Director Marketing for Street & Active is responsible for spearheading all brand marketing efforts directly supporting Spyder, Airwalk, and Prince. The Director of Marketing is an influential leader who drives and executes marketing innovation through collaboration and process. This role embraces strategic planning and implementation, oversees brand building and stewardship, and drives breakthrough initiatives in global markets and key retail accounts that move the needle. The Director will collaborate with the Business Unit across functions including Brand, Business Development, Digital, Social, Creative, Brand Experience, and PR to build and execute 360 degree, integrated marketing programs. The Director Marketing is also responsible for developing relationships with global licensing partners and target retail accounts to drive the brands’ strategic vision in key markets and execute campaigns that extend from the annual brand plan. The Director will liaise regularly with internal and external partners to assure that marketing plans are on budget, goals are being met and that they support key business and brand initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with VP Marketing and Business Unit Manager set overall brand strategy and marketing plan tied to brand goals and annual financial targets
- Oversee the direction, implementation, and execution of Spyder, Airwalk, and Prince brand and marketing and retail initiatives in support of brand vision and business goals
- Lead weekly marketing meetings in conjunction with the Street & Active Business Unit team and other internal stakeholders to report on marketing activations including deliverables, timelines, and accountability; drive ongoing development of cross-functional marketing plans
- Spearhead annual Brand Summits for Spyder, Airwalk and Prince to present annual brand strategy, marketing plans and activations to key licensees and stakeholders
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and key license partners on the development and implementation of retail marketing strategies to facilitate brand growth at key accounts; integrate key licensees at all stages
- Partner with the VP Digital Innovations Group to form and drive new content strategies that generate consumer impressions and monetization across ecommerce and digital platforms
- In conjunction with VP Digital distinguish and drive brand voice across social media; partner with Brand and Social Media team on social content strategy that facilitates engagement and brand relevancy
- In conjunction with PR and Business Unit team, drive PR/communication strategy for Spyder, Airwalk and Prince; develop and implement PR calendar to include announcements, brand news, editorial placement and events
- Partner with Creative Director, Spyder, Airwalk, and Prince to ensure physical and virtual toolbox is consistently updated and accurate
- Identify ongoing research needs by brand; make recommendations, manage research projects, present findings to key stakeholders
- Manage budget related to Spyder, Airwalk and Prince marketing and brand initiatives
- Participate in brand strategy discussions and planning; identify target consumer and retail audience; determine tiering needs; analyze consumer trends and market data, identify brand growth opportunities.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in brand marketing and management with expertise in Street, Active, and Sports related brands.
- Understanding of the licensing business model
- Proven track record in creating and executing strategic brand and marketing campaigns and initiatives that resonate across consumer touch points
- Strong understanding of digital and social media marketing
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to mentor and manage teams; ability to work cross funtionally
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills
- Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organizational and follow-through skills
- Must have strong computer proficiency with strength in MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires
