Description

Responsible for assisting in the management of the company’s business development for Authentic Brands Group Living Legends portfolio of brands. Must be able to identify potential strategic opportunities, sell the vision and work the deal in order to bring it to fruition.   

Primary Responsibilities

  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy 
  • Identify new opportunities in accordance with the company’s global licensing strategy, liaising with senior management on researching, pitching, negotiating and fully executing licensing contracts 
  • Ensure that any brand extensions will make a meaningful contribution to preserving and furthering the overall life of the underlying property 
  • Manage multiple business initiatives 
  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies that maximize revenue across multiple categories and distribution channels 
  • Initiate business development initiatives that are consistent with the business development team’s strategy 
  • Revenue generation and strategic partnerships development and management 
  • Create thinking and proven ability to deliver presentations and business plans 
  • Develop, review and report on the business development division strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team 
  • Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task   

Skills & Requirements: 

  1. 5 - 8+ years of experience in business development, brand marketing or licensing program management 
  2. Proven track record in business development. Celebrity / Entertainment experience a plus 
  3. Demonstrated experience securing, negotiating and managing licensing deals across a variety of product categories and managing them. 
  4. Strong business analytical skill set 
  5. Excellent verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills. 
  6. Must have a relentless drive to succeed, win business and close deals 
  7. Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organizational and follow-through skills 
  8. Bachelor degree required 
  9. Must have strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  10. Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires
