The National Account Manager for Club is a channel sales business unit looking to strategically manage accounts for club/distributors. This role assists in the development of channel strategies, Channel Go-To- Market and pricing guidelines, channel business analysis leading to identification of major business- building initiatives and shopper insights and management of key channel messaging. This channel leader will direct all account activity and be responsible for achieving annual sales revenue within this channel through assigned goals quarterly and yearly. Since this position is a niche and new, it is expected to show effective hands on strategic leadership cross functionally with others, including directors/managers throughout all divisions and support staff. This individual will work directly with Marketing, to develop and execute short and long-term go-to-market sales strategies that leverage the strengths of both the organization and brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Launching/gaining authorization to club chains (Costco, BJ’s and Sam’s Club as main priorities)
- Carry out effective business analysis to respond to channel and customer category, customer, shopper and competitive industrytrends.
- Focus on identifying growth opportunities for the channel and key customers and ensure their integration into channel and customer plans andproposals.
- Lead the club channel in the integration commercial planningprocess.
- Relationship and account strategic management of this channel is required to ensure sales goals are met.
- Management of broker relationship is key specifically for the club channel
- Strategically manages and/or gaining new authorization to this channel is required
- Work with Marketing personnel to create integrated strategies and execute plans that lead to achieving sustainable accounts and assist in hitting quarterly/yearly casegoals.
- Develop sales strategy with VP of Account Management to track monthly goals and tactics
- Utilize SPINS and customer data to influence this channel accounts.
- Develop visible and transparent metrics to monitor channel results, promotional effectiveness and distribution; adjust strategy and tactics as needed to achieve company case goals.
- Manage the assigned scorecard for account distributors to measure effectiveness across core areas of accounts within channels to verify successful execution of tactical sales, and ensure achievement of quarterly/annual case goals.
- Act as a role model for the Company's culture, while inspiring the Company's sales team through leadership
- Aid in special projects when needed by VP of Account Management
