Professional Development Coach

Primary Duties: Assist Child Care Providers in their Child Care Settings. Provide instructional support, mentoring, and coaching to child care providers to enhance the quality of early care and education.  Conduct visits to Child Care Provider's Facilities to ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing Regulations and Environmental Rating Scale (ERS).

Work Schedule:      Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Starting rate:          $18.00-24.00/hour DOE

Start Date:             Immediately

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field, with a minimum of 24 units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
• Minimum 3 years experience in ECE/Child Development, ages 0-5.
• Experience and ability to work with adult learners and diverse client populations.
• Experience working with family child care providers or child care center staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to honor confidentiality, and work sensitively and supportive with clients.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, client database software, Internet search engines.
• Must have an automobile with adequate insurance coverage and a valid California Driver’s License and with an acceptable driving record substantiated by a copy of DMV records.
• Criminal Records (e.g. Live Scan Fingerprints), Child Abuse Index, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (T.B.) test clearances required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsor-ships are available for these positions.

• Bi-lingual English/Spanish Preferred.
