What you’ll do: 

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior GIS Developer/Analyst to join our team and use advanced technologies to drive transformation in mission-critical services for our long-term client WSSC, Water. 

Location: This is a Hybrid role, based out of Laurel, Maryland 20707. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Possesses and applies some knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.  

  • Participates in major technology assignments.  

  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.  

  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.  

  • May supervise others.  

  • Write complex programs and develop user interfaces, menus, and macro-level scripts to meet user requirements in addition to performing complex spatial analyses and producing outputs according to customer specifications.  

  • Lead the development of geographic information systems which include WSSC water/ sewer geometric network and other related features into user friendly interfaces. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. 

Experience: 

  • Ten (10) years with hands-on technical experience in the ITGIS field. 

  • Strong background in the design, implementation, and management of GIS systems and technologies, with a deep understanding of GIS software (such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms). 

  • In-depth knowledge of GIS data management, spatial analysis, geospatial data processing, and cloud-based GIS infrastructure. 

  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple stakeholders or businesses.  

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic work environment.  

  • ESRI suite of tools and services, JavaScript, SQL, Oracle or SQL databases, SharePoint, ServiceNow, MS Office products (Word, Excel). 

  • Must have experience in test driven development. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with utilities applications.  

  • Experience with any of the following: Data Analytics & Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), ServiceNow, ArcGIS, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) & FileNet, Oracle Workforce Asset Management (WAM) & Cityworks, Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Multi-cloud Environments. 

Clearance:  

  • The ability to pass a background check is required.
