We are seeking an Assistant Controller with strong accounting and tax expertise, along with excellent interpersonal skills, to support ongoing growth and expansion while ensuring compliance with all local reporting requirements. This role reports to the Group Senior Controller and works closely with tax consultants and auditors to deliver cohesive and effective outcomes.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards including US GAAP, IFRS, and federal and state tax laws
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate reporting of all financial data
- Oversee daily accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accurate recording of all transactions
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and reporting requirements (Forms 1099, 1042, and W-9)
- Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting, ensuring smooth processes and compliance with both internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Group Senior Controller and Chief Accounting Officer to address financial or external issues and develop processes for managing them effectively
- Partner with controllership teams to align with group objectives and planning initiatives
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls to maintain financial data integrity
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Minimum of 3+ years in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of both U.S. and international accounting practices
- Extensive accounting experience with progressive responsibility
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, federal and state tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred), as well as Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage assigned countries and work effectively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws (required)
- Strong financial acumen, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments, with management, and with consultants and auditors

Pay Range:
Starting Base: $170,000 annually
