Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a V&V Senior Engineer position within an important Company located in Varese.
Job Description:
- Responsible for product approval, prior mass production and placing on the market, of all new projects/platforms, cost and quality projects and product running changes;
- Accountable to assure product compliance to International and Regional standards (Safety, Performance, Food grade, Water contact, etc...), to Corporate Safety standards and to Company internal global specifications;
- Coaches System Integrator and engineers to develop the right test to failure, verification methods to learn about the factors influencing the design – understanding design limits;
- Creates test plans with the laboratory and simulation teams, overseeing execution of the test plan to support the needs of design verification & validation;
- Confirms targets are met for all certifications.
Function Overview
- Identifies the verification methods (physical or virtual) that will ensure the product and subsystems are meeting the Company’s requirements;
- Ensures visibility of gaps versus targets and issues/risks through the development and proactively supports System Integrators to define action plans to close those gaps;
- Proactively works with the product quality organizations to ensure that performance and reliability requirements protect us versus known failure modes;
- Proactively works with Codes, Safety and Regulatory engineers to ensure that the latest requirements are incorporated in the verification and validation plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Thermodynamic, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines preferred;
- English language - fluent command;
- A minimum of 4 years of engineering leadership and technical depth to include:-
2 year of Maintenance of Business (MOB) - Cost & Quality projects;

2+ years of New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Proficient with the use of OPEX-Six Sigma and Robust Design tools (MSE, COV, DOE, FMEA, FEA, CPM, product map, process map, etc.) to ensure rigorous designs. BB certification is preferred;
- Have or be willing to quickly develop a thorough knowledge of refrigerator design and testing;
- Knowledge and/or experience in refrigeration, thermodynamics, heat transfer highly preferred;
- Have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Company’s global organization;
- Understanding and ability to perform theoretical and practical engineering analysis. Test to Fail and Test to Pass experimentation experience. -
