National Sales Manager (B2B)

We are working an innovative B Corp ingredient and snack company out of Burlington Vermont that is seeking a strong B2B sales individual. This role will support an already thriving ingredient company, building new business and keeping up relationships with existing customers. This is exciting and dynamic time to join the team as they continue to innovate in all areas of business.

Location: Burlington, VT – must be able to travel onsite occasionally

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop annual customer plans designed to expand distribution & accelerate profit and growth
  • Achieve annual sales & profit goals to attain overall company goals
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning to develop effective presentations that outline current market conditions, market trends, customer needs and competitive advantages. Utilize syndicated data to identify sales opportunities
  • Manage, educate, motivate, and monitor the broker sales force, conveying all product and assortment objectives, key product attributes
  • Communicate solutions & feedback to sales and marketing leadership to provide the best products for retail and category success
  • Share best practices and competitive insight from one market/region to another to maximize overall company sales
  • Manage all tracking/reporting input as it relates to the sales process via CRM
  • Attend trade shows as required
  • Follow all sales & interdepartmental processes and guidelines
  • Effectively executes sales presentations and product demonstrations to build opportunities and close new business
  • Establish relationships with key buying influencers at multiple levels including senior leaders and management
  • Assist with qualifying new business opportunities alongside sales and cross functional leadership
  • Align sales activities with internal business strategies and objectives: profitability, market analysis, growth and capacity utilization
  • Stay current and competitive and innovation developments in the marketplace
  • Manage communication to all functional teams regarding account news and information

Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5-7+ years’ experience managing broad portfolio of accounts with collaborative mindset and strong business fundamentals
  • Strong sales acumen
  • Must have B2B sales ingredient experience
  • Ability to work well with others and add value to a team concept
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication and people skills
  • High degree of computer proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
