Description
• Run requirement reports; analyze data, history to determine ordering requirements.
• Create and expedite purchase orders for the acquisition of materials for multiple branches/locations throughout the U.S.
• Determine transfer requirements between the Corporate Warehouse and branches, as well as transfers from branch to branch.  
• Assist with new part number and supplier set up as well as maintaining purchasing database for accuracy including price and part number changes, and changes in vendor/supplier information.
• Determine and continually modify purchasing parameters based on multiple factors, including erratic/seasonal demand, supplier lead-times, and prepaid freight to increase purchasing efficiency.
• Work with the warehouse staff, to ensure transfers are coordinated and shipped out in a timely fashion to meet branch requirements.
• Research, interview and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications
• Provide routine administrative support

Qualified candidates must have:
• 1-3 years of purchasing and/or supply line management experience
• Demonstrated procurement skills
• Purchasing experience, a must, experience in a centralized purchasing environment with multiple branch location and/or distribution a plus.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Good negotiating skills, judgment and results oriented
• Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience with concepts, practices and procedures for multiple locations
• Familiarity with hydraulic & industrial hose field a plus
• Knowledge of SX.e a plus
• College Degree preferred, but not required
