As the Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, booking, and maintaining mortgage records, maintaining the fixed asset ledger, assisting with audit preparations, treasury related items and performing other accounting duties as assigned.Responsibilities:• Prepare journal entries• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.• Maintain and reconcile treasury related schedules• Set up subledgers of mortgage accounts• Maintenance of fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation• Prepare financial analyses and reports.• Assist with annual audit preparations.• Assist with preparation of special reports.• Other projects and analyses as needed.Qualifications:• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.• Knowledge of Co-Netrix is strongly preferred.• Recent and relevant accounting experience.• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement.• Ability to handle multiple projects.• Competent with spreadsheets and databases, especially Microsoft Excel experience.• Knowledge in QuickBooks.• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.• Strong analytical and communication skills.• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projectsAs you might expect, we value every member of our team.
