Compounding Room Cleaner

The Compounding Room Cleaner is responsible for cleaning all of the kettles and kettle parts as stated in Swiss-American CDMO Standard Operating Procedures and other duties assigned by the Cleaning Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Properly wash, clean, and sanitize all kettles following the Standard Operating Procedures set by Swiss-American CDMO.  This includes the valve, blades, sidesweep blades, and mixers attached to the kettle, if applicable.
  • Re-assemble and re-connect the valve, blades, and sidesweep blades.
  • Properly clean and sanitize all transfer pumps following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss-American CDMO.
  • Reassemble the transfer pump.
  • Properly clean and sanitize all mixers following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss-American CDMO.
  • Reassemble the mixer.
  • Provide DI Water at 80C to the Production Department when they require it.
  • Re-sanitize the kettles, transfer pumps, and mixers once the “Use By Date” has passed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Compound Room, to include:  floors, walls, catwalk, and outside of all kettles.
  • Log all information in the Cleaning Log Book and attach a clean tag label to the kettle, transfer pump, or mixer.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), trade school, or mechanical experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications or licenses are needed but are highly encouraged.
