Our client is seeking an experienced Market Research Analyst to join their rapidly growing custom market research group. You will be responsible for all aspects of identifying, producing and delivering custom primary research engagements commissioned by the company’s clients. As the ideal candidate, you must possess 5+ years of direct high-tech B2B market research experience (whether in a research/analyst firm, technology vendor, technology media company or relevant professional services environment), proven skills in building relevant survey content and interview-based market research, superior writing and presentation skills, outstanding client relations and interpersonal skills, and an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.

As the Market Research Analyst, you will assist in all aspects of the Company’s custom primary research projects, from project definition through completion and delivery of the results to clients. Depending upon the nature of the project, you will:

  • Engage with clients to define project requirements and scope
  • Define the appropriate research methodology and create a detailed project plan to gather relevant data
  • Work with the sales staff to prepare detailed project proposals and statements of work (SOWs)
  • Lead quantitative survey design, incorporating input from clients and other collaborators
  • Work with research operations team to program, test, launch and monitor all quantitative surveys designed
  • Conduct one-on-one phone-based interviews as needed
  • Tabulate and analyze all primary research results using statistical analysis tools such as Qualtrics or Confirmit
  • Conduct secondary market research as necessary
  • Present research findings and analysis to clients
  • Develop derivative content marketing assets utilizing research findings and analysis (e.g., white papers, infographics, videos, etc.)
  • Assist in project management including client correspondence and relationships with strategic research partners

You will also play a key role in providing sales and marketing support for the Company’s research products and services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Joining the Company’s sales teams on client and prospect calls to identify and scope new projects
  • Contributing to the development of new and innovative research products and services
  • Helping train the Company’s analyst and sales staff on research offerings and best practices


  • Desire 5 years of direct high-tech B2B market research experience (whether in a research/analyst firm, technology vendor, technology media company or relevant professional services environment)
  • Experience working for a technology hardware, software, cloud services, or professional services firm preferred
  • Preference for familiarity with terms and concepts in multiple areas of enterprise technology such as data center infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data platforms and analytics, networking, data protection, artificial intelligence, and application development
  • Proven research and analysis skills along with documented writing ability, superior project management and client relations skills, strong presentation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be experienced and comfortable presenting to senior executives
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as in market research and statistical analysis software such as Qualtrics, SPSS, or equivalents
  • Must have above-average intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly learn new topic areas as warranted by projects
  • Must be able to take initiative in all aspects of the role and be comfortable working both independently and in team environments
  • Must be comfortable working in a project-based, deadline-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
