Position Summary
Everlake is seeking an experienced actuary to help build and lead our internal Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) reinsurance actuarial and underwriting capabilities. This role will be responsible for evaluating and pricing PRT reinsurance transactions, developing mortality and deferred-life assumptions, and establishing a repeatable internal underwriting framework.
 
The individual will initially work closely with existing Everlake and Blackstone teams, external advisors, and transaction partners, with the objective of progressively bringing core PRT capabilities in-house.
This position serves as a key partner to Investments, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Capital, Reinsurance, Finance, Risk Management, and Corporate Development and will play an important role in evaluating transaction opportunities, developing underwriting standards, and supporting the continued growth of Everlake's PRT reinsurance business. The individual will develop scalable actuarial, underwriting, and analytical capabilities while maintaining strong governance, disciplined risk management, and transaction oversight.
The successful candidate will be expected to build Everlake's internal capability to independently underwrite, price and challenge PRT transactions, while using external advisors selectively for specialized expertise, data and independent validation. 
Key Responsibilities
&bull;    Lead actuarial analysis and pricing of PRT reinsurance opportunities, including participant data, plan provisions and liability cash flows
&bull;    Develop mortality and longevity assumptions, including MED analysis and case-specific adjustments
&bull;    Develop assumptions for deferred participants, including retirement and commencement behavior and benefit elections
&bull;    Review and challenge liability projections, reserves and assumptions provided by cedants and external advisors
&bull;    Assess the impact of actuarial assumptions on transaction economics, capital and risk-adjusted returns
&bull;    Partner with investment, ALM, capital and reinsurance teams on transaction evaluation
&bull;    Establish PRT reinsurance underwriting standards, assumption governance and pricing processes
&bull;    Support development of internal PRT reinsurance models and analytics and facilitate knowledge transfer from external advisors
&bull;    Serve as a primary actuarial lead for cedants, consultants, and transaction counterparties throughout the evaluation and execution of PRT opportunities
&bull;    Lead actuarial diligence efforts and coordinate external advisors supporting transaction evaluation, underwriting, and execution
&bull;    Build and maintain relationships with cedants, consultants, and market participants to support the continued development of Everlake's PRT capabilities
&bull;    Participate in live transaction execution and provide recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
&bull;    Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field required; advanced degree preferred
&bull;    FSA or equivalent actuarial qualification preferred
&bull;    8+ years of actuarial experience, with meaningful U.S. PRT experience
&bull;    Direct experience pricing or underwriting PRT transactions at an insurer, reinsurer, or leading advisory firm
&bull;    Strong knowledge of pension mortality and longevity assumptions, including MED analysis and mortality improvement methodologies
&bull;    Experience with deferred-life assumptions and other pension plan provisions strongly preferred
&bull;    Experience projecting PRT liability cash flows and reserve modeling
&bull;    Understanding of the interaction among actuarial assumptions, investments, ALM, capital, and transaction economics
&bull;    Demonstrated experience working directly with pension plan sponsors, cedants, consultants, or transaction counterparties within the PRT market
&bull;    Experience leading actuarial diligence efforts and managing external stakeholder relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

Position Summary
Leader within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function of Everlake Life Insurance Company that manages various risk and governance accountabilities for the company. This role evaluates risk and return profiles across multiple risk categories, establishes monitoring and reporting of risk positions, coordinates operational risk programs, and performs key run-the-business activities.
This role interacts with business leaders as well as internal and external parties to actively maintain and advance risk management and governance initiatives. This position also serves as an indirect leader by driving results and achieving goals through collaboration with other business areas.
This position reports to the Senior Risk Director. The work location is hybrid or fully remote. This position will not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
&bull;    Assist in defining and documenting Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Enterprise Risk Management Policy (to assist with identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on material and relevant risks) including risk categories such as Strategic Risk, Investment Risk, Insurance Risk, Financial Risk, and Operational Risk. This role will also assist in the maintenance of separate, offshore risk management frameworks as needed.
&bull;    Focus on Operational Risk categories, including the execution of an Operational Risk Assessment, execution of a Model Risk Management (MRM) program as MRM Coordinator, maintenance of a centralized Assumption Repository, and support for the annual Policy update process. Responsibilities include operational risk response plans, issue identification and escalation, and management of emerging and evolving risks.
&bull;    Execute and mature the Business Continuity Management Framework including Business Continuity Management Policy, processes, and development, maintenance, and testing of business continuity plans; serve as the Business Continuity Coordinator within the broader Incident Response Framework, working collaboratively with Crisis Management and Technology, and using the CYGNVS tool.
&bull;    Support and enhance risk reporting including key risk indicators, develop and prepare board or senior management level reporting. Continuously advance the maturity level of financial and non-financial risk metrics. Risk reporting also includes preparation of external presentation materials (e.g., AM Best presentations and updates for regulators).
&bull;    Represent risk management function among separate lines within the Three Lines Model through proper coordination and partnership on risk and control activities, consult on key strategic initiatives, and actively collaborate on cross-functional risk management topics (Legal and Compliance, Vendor, Third-Party Administrator, Technology).
&bull;    Assist in risk related aspects of key initiatives such as reinsurance deals, legal entities, regulatory requests, and external stakeholder requests.

Qualifications
Education

Position Summary

Position Summary
The Vice President, Legal will serve as a senior legal advisor for Everlake&rsquo;s reinsurance and strategic transactions and provide support for other areas, as needed. The role will provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance on complex insurance growth and risk management initiatives, including those involving flow and block reinsurance, pension risk transfer reinsurance, captive financing, funding agreement-backed products, investment-related matters, collateral trust arrangements, and related commercial contracts. This attorney will be expected to lead significant legal workstreams with limited oversight from the Chief Legal Officer, partnering closely with senior management and cross-functional leaders to evaluate, structure, negotiate, and execute complex transactions while appropriately managing legal, regulatory, operational, and conflict risks.
This role requires a highly skilled, commercially minded attorney with substantial experience in life insurance, annuities, reinsurance, and financial services transactions, together with strong judgment, transaction execution discipline, and the ability to advise on emerging business initiatives. The successful candidate must be able to build strong working relationships, communicate effectively with senior leaders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced transactional environment. The attorney must be comfortable advising on sensitive strategic matters, escalating material issues appropriately, and driving alignment among legal, actuarial, investment, risk, finance, tax, operations, compliance, and business development stakeholders. The successful candidate will be capable of leading external counsel, negotiating directly with sophisticated counterparties, and helping Everlake advance strategic growth while protecting the company&rsquo;s interests.
The role reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and will operate as a senior member of the Legal department, with responsibility for leading major transaction workstreams, coordinating internal and external legal resources, and advising executive leadership on legal risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
&middot;        Serve as senior legal lead and an integral member of the core deal teams supporting reinsurance and other insurance growth transactions, including flow and block reinsurance, captive financings, and other arrangements.
&middot;        Support all phases of reinsurance and insurance growth transactions, from preliminary bids and indications of interest through closing. 
&middot;        Advise on transaction structure and manage required regulatory filings and approvals.
&middot;        Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of reinsurance, confidentiality, trust, investment, and other transaction-related agreements.
&middot;        Partner with business development, actuarial, investments, risk, finance, tax, operations, compliance, and senior leadership to structure and execute transactions aligned with Everlake&rsquo;s strategic objectives.

The position is responsible for managing customer location and claim referrals, conducting outreach activities, researching and validating customer information, investigating returned mail, uncashed or stale-dated checks, pending claims, and related servicing matters, documenting case activity, and supporting the resolution of customer service inquiries and informal complaints.
 
The successful candidate will support customer outreach, claim review, case management, and customer resolution activities while partnering with internal business stakeholders and third-party administrators to ensure the timely resolution of customer location referrals, positive customer outcomes, and adherence to established service, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
&bull;    Research, identify, and locate customers, beneficiaries, payees, and other parties associated with customer location referrals.
&bull;    Review and evaluate claim referrals, beneficiary matters, and related supporting information for processing and approval
&bull;    Conduct outbound outreach activities through phone calls, letters, email, and other approved contact methods.
&bull;    Investigate returned mail, returned or stale-dated checks, pending death claims, beneficiary issues, and other customer location matters to support timely delivery of policy benefits and prevent escheatment.
&bull;    Process and manage customer location referrals in accordance with established procedures, service standards, and regulatory requirements.
&bull;    Respond to customer inquiries received through phone, email, written correspondence, and other communication channels, and resolve issues related to customer location activities, payments, beneficiary matters, and related servicing issues.
&bull;    Maintain accurate documentation of customer outreach, case activity, research, and resolution efforts.
&bull;    Collaborate with servicing teams, third-party administrators, agents, and other business partners to resolve customer issues and support positive customer outcomes.
&bull;    Review referrals and perform follow-up activities to facilitate timely resolution and successful customer contact.
&bull;    Identify and escalate operational risks, compliance concerns, customer issues, and process improvement opportunities.
&bull;    Participate in audit reviews, compliance activities, and corrective action efforts as needed.
&bull;    Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and compliance, and support implementation of approved process enhancements.
&bull;    Analyze customer location trends, referral activity, and operational issues to support continuous improvement efforts and informed decision-making.
&bull;    Support operational initiatives, special projects, and implementation activities related to customer location, outreach, and servicing processes.
&bull;    Support ongoing customer location and outreach initiatives while maintaining high standards of service, quality, and accuracy.
Qualifications
&bull;    High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
&bull;    Relevant insurance, customer service, operations, or financial services coursework is a plus.
&bull;    Typically 3-7 years of experience in life insurance operations, claims, policy administration, customer service, beneficiary services, unclaimed property, financial services operations, or a related field.
&bull;    Experience researching and resolving customer inquiries, payment issues, beneficiary matters, customer location efforts, or case management activities.
&bull;    Experience working with life and annuity products, policy administration systems, servicing operations, or third-party administrators preferred.
&bull;    Knowledge of life insurance and annuity servicing processes, beneficiary servicing, policy administration, claims operations, customer support functions, or unclaimed property processes.
&bull;    Strong investigative, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to locate and validate customer information using multiple systems, databases, and resources.
&bull;    Strong customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to interact professionally, empathetically, and effectively with customers, beneficiaries, claimants, third-party administrators, and internal business partners.
&bull;    Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, strong quality standards, and timely service.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related quantitative field.
 
Minimum Experience Required:
Three (3) years of actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance, including each of the following: 
actuarial pricing and/or model development Cash-flow modeling for annuity and insurance blocks;
application of Asset Liability Management concepts or reserve methodologies (US GAAP and US 
Statutory); and use of Excel and object-oriented programming for actuarial modeling or reporting 
automation.
 
Special Requirements:
ASA or FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) required. Demonstrated ability to apply ALM

Salary:
