Position Summary:
The Permitting Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the permitting process for architectural projects across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires a deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate permit submissions and approvals.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
&middot;         Coordinate and manage the preparation and submission of permit applications for architectural projects.
&middot;         Research and interpret local, state, and federal building codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements.
&middot;         Serve as the primary liaison between Lawrence Group and permitting authorities.
&middot;         Track and monitor the status of permit applications and proactively resolve issues or delays.
&middot;         Maintain accurate records of all permitting documentation and correspondence.
&middot;         Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
&middot;         Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding permitting timelines and requirements.
&middot;         All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job is fully remote and will routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Professional Skills/Knowledge

&middot;         Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions.

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and related disbursement activities across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for vendor payments, consultant and trade payables, employee expense processing, corporate credit cards, and daily banking activity.
 
This role ensures transactions are properly documented, coded, approved, and processed in accordance with company policies and established accounting procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 
The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with the accounting team, employees, project teams, vendors, consultants, and financial institutions to ensure the organization's payment processes operate efficiently and accurately.
 
Position responsibilities:
 
&middot;       Process and maintain accurate accounts payable records for trade vendors, consultants, and other suppliers, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and discrepancy resolution.
&middot;       Manage vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries and payment issues in a timely and professional manner.
&middot;       Prepare and process check runs and electronic funds transfers in accordance with established procedures and internal controls.
&middot;       Monitor daily banking activity and maintain accurate records of company disbursements.
&middot;       Manage corporate credit card transactions, including review, coding, documentation, payment processing, and reconciliation.
&middot;       Process and review employee expense reports, following up on missing documentation or approvals as needed.
&middot;       Support month-end and year-end close activities through timely accounts payable processing, reconciliations, research, and preparation of audit documentation.
&middot;       Maintain accurate and organized financial records and support documentation.
&middot;       Ensure accounts payable, credit card, employee expense, and disbursement activity is accurately recorded in the accounting system.
&middot;       Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve accounts payable and payment processes, controls, and workflows.
&middot;       Maintain a strong working knowledge of accounting systems and serve as a resource to employees regarding accounts payable, expense, credit card, and payment processes.
&middot;       Collaborate with the Accounting team, employees, project teams, vendors, consultants, and financial institutions to ensure payment processes operate efficiently and accurately.
&middot;       Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, vendor payments, expense reporting, and general accounting principles.
Experience with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
Interest in and willingness to learn and leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to automate routine tasks, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.

Lawrence Group is seeking Project Architects to assist with our growing Higher Education project needs in our St. Louis office.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, project management, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in the student housing and higher education markets. They will play a key role in working on the project team and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.
 
The key responsibilities include:
 

Assist in the design and development of student housing and higher education projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and requirements, and translate them into innovative design solutions that exceed expectations.
Collaborate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct site visits, assessments, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry & campus standards.
Prepare and present design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Lead the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and bid packages, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during the construction and design phase.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural processes and practices.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to higher education design, sustainability, and building performance.
Requires high level of understanding of technical aspects of the project as well as accessibility requirements

 
Qualifications:

Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
Licensed Architect with 10-15 years of experience in design and architecture preferred.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects from concept to completion.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
Strong design sensibility and a portfolio showcasing innovative and creative student housing and higher education projects.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to higher education design, as well as sustainable design principles and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and analytically.
LEED accreditation and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.

This position will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and design of higher education and student housing facilities. Our St. Louis office is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Intern Interior Designer position with the ability to work 2-3 days in office a week and can start immediately. Our team specializes in collaborating with clients to develop innovative, best-in-class designs that inspire and meet our client&rsquo;s needs. Project involvement will include general project and/or office tasks as directed by the Project Manager or team leader including, but not limited to design research, assisting with finish material selection/specification, assisting with furniture selection/specification, collaborating with design team to develop design concepts, preparing full color design renderings and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, BIM360, and Enscape. 
Candidate Qualifications:

Pursing Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited College or University
Motivated, self-starter with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment as directed by Project Manager or Team Leader.
General knowledge of construction, interior materials, details, methods and standard building codes.

Lawrence Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Surveyor to join our team. The Site Surveyor will visit sites and buildings across the United States and document existing conditions. Applicants can expect to travel from coast to coast frequently and must be capable of inputting field sheet measurements accurately into AutoCAD or Revit with a deliverable of Revit floor Plans, RCP, Building Elevations, relevant Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical information.

The key responsibilities include:
 

Coast to Coast travel to conduct thorough on-site building and interior tenant surveys to gather essential data related to a propertys as-built, existing conditions. Lawrence Group provides these services for an extensive list of national client accounts.
Surveys are generally interior in nature and will range between 1,500 SF and 4,500 SF.
The focus of these site surveys is on the architectural elements of the interior of the building with inspection of the exterior elements such as parking, utility (gas meter, electrical meter/riser and phone service) locations.
Particular attention to the accessibility of restrooms, plumbing fixtures, parking stall, curb ramps and general path of travel is necessary. Knowledge of standard accessibility codes such as ADA and ICC A117.1 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities is required.  
Utilizing Matterport camera technology to accurately can document the interior site features and 360 exterior views is a significant part of this position. 
Limited (but adequate) Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) elements shall be surveyed.
Electrical panel locations & sizes, power & voice/data outlets, lighting, fire alarm and sprinkler system components shall be thoroughly documented in the form of a reflected ceiling plan (RCP).
Mechanical (HVAC) system type shall be determined and surveyed with sufficient information returned for a mechanical engineer to recommend system changes or replacement. Detailed reports and documentation are prepared outlining survey findings, including a key plan, project information form / checklist, AutoCAD or Revit as-built files, Matterport scan links and digital photos.
Identifying  potential structural challenges related to site conditions such as existing column and load bearing walls locations
Identifying  potential environmental challenges related to site conditions such as suspected water intrusion, asbestos and lead presence.

Strong understanding of building survey principles, techniques, and methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drawings.

Work Environment
The work environment for this position is dynamic and fast-paced, characterized by frequent travel across the United States to diverse project sites, offering an exciting opportunity for exploration and engagement with varied landscapes and communities. 

Physical Demands
Some physical demands are necessary including using a 6 or 8 step ladder to remove suspended ceiling system tiles to survey elements above the ceiling. We will often need to climb a ladder on to a roof to evaluate roof equipment as well. Often this will be done using and manipulating a rather heavy 26 multi-purpose ladder.
