Corporate Contracts Paralegal – Bilingual/Spanish (NJ)
Dynamic company seeks a Corporate Contracts Paralegal to work closely with the legal team to support clients and deliver innovative solutions. The compensation package consists of a salary between $70K - $75K with a bonus. Spanish language fluency is required.
Primary Duties
The Corporate Contracts Paralegal provides legal support to multiple attorneys each working with several business and support groups within the organization. Paralegal support includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts under attorney supervision; effectively communicating and building strong business relationships with internal clients in order to understand business objectives and identify issues to assist attorneys in providing value-added legal counsel; track and manage contract negotiations under attorney supervision; and other projects in support of the legal department objectives. The essential functions are as follows:
- Manage contract lifecycle from inception through execution
- Support attorneys in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial transactions, including sales, service, consulting, technology, licensing, non-disclosure, dealer and other agreements
- Track contract details and phases until contract execution while
continuously communicating progress to supervising attorney and
internal clients - Communicate with business and support clients to understand objectives, review and draft contracts, and identify key issues to assist attorneys and internal clients
- Under attorney supervision, respond to and resolve small claims matter and escalated customer complaints
- Manage, track and work with insurance group and supervising attorney on all insurance subrogation matters for the organization
- Support and manage document productions for third party disputes and other document requests (e.g., litigation, arbitration, subpoenas, informal requests), including interfacing with record custodians and conducting document review for responsiveness and privilege
- Under attorney supervision, research and respond to other legal
department requests related to corporate or legal compliance - Perform in accordance with Corporate Policies and Procedures, as well as applicable federal/state/local regulations and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Spanish fluency; Portuguese preferred
- Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting
- Certified Paralegal license
- Ability to work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Visio and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient project management skills, organizational skills, and an ability to drive a project to completion
- Ability to manage multiple, varied tasks and deadlines simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately
- Familiarity in working with a variety of commercial contracts on both the supplier and customer side
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable and confident in communicating with senior leaders of the business
- Strong ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and build strong personal relationships within the team and across the business at all levels
- Strong analytic and organizational skills with a proven ability to synthesize information from different sources in order to focus review on legal issues and risks

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
Previous experience in advertising and marketing law
Previous experience with an electronics company is a major plus
Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience conducting legal research using computer databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to comfortably interact with all members of organization
A self-starter who enjoys problem solving
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
A strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
