About the School System and Community

St.John the Baptist Parish Public Schools

St. John the Baptist Parish is the “Heart of the River Parishes,” those communities located along the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

It’s an area rich in culture, history and industry. Our school district prides itself on being an important part of this community and a leader in the education of all children in St. John the Baptist Parish. We have truly adopted the motto “As One” and see educating every child as a partnership between educators, parents and the entire community.

Reserve, Louisiana

On the east bank of the Mississippi River is Reserve, a city with one of the lowest costs of living in Louisiana. Homes sell for as little as $100,000, and the community has a robust cuisine scene thanks to restaurants such as Pirogue’s Café and Connie’s Grill that prepare authentic Cajun and Creole seafood dishes. Reserve is only 30 miles from New Orleans and five miles from Lake Pontchartrain, and residents have convenient access to Interstates 10 and 55.
