Our Swiss client, a leading worldwide supplier of high performance semiconductor sensor solutions is in search of a:

Optical System Architect

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Define technology research and development projects for the division in alignment with the technology roadmap
  • Lead technology development for 3D Sensing Modules and Optical Sensing Modules
  • Modelling and simulations: estimation of system performance, system parameters definition and optimization
  • Supervision and support to engineering execution
  • Lead the hardware verification of technology demonstrators

Your education and experiences

  • University diploma in optical engineering, physics or comparable
  • At least 5 years working experience (preferably 10 years)
  • You have a broad overview over adjacent fields (e.g. thermo-mechanical design, electro-optical engineering, optical sensing)
  • Experience in optical packaging or micro-optics is a plus
  • Experience in FEM (e.g. COMSOL or AnSys) modeling of thermo-mechanical or electronic problems is a plus
  • Experience in optical semiconductors is a plus
  • You are passionate about using optics to solve real life problems
  • You are a self-starter and address tasks proactively
  • You have a strong background in optical technology or photonics
Required Skills

University degree in optical engineering, physics
5+ yrs exp (e.g. thermo-mechanical design, electro-optical engineering, optical sensing)
Optical technology or photonics
English fluency
EU citizen / Swiss work permit holder
