Position Overview

The Senior Account with work closely with the Senior Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. This role is responsible for many aspects of general ledger-related activities focused on proper application of US GAAP, various accounting transactions, montly and year-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Critically analyze department procedures currently in place to maximize operational processes
  • Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies while identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities
  • Execute monthly accounting close activities, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Analyze expenses and expense accruals to ensure accurate recording on monthly basis
  • Review and reconcile bank transactions
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including setting up assets, processing disposals, and performing reconciliations
  • Process monthly recurring invoices and credit memos, reconciling invoicing to Salesforce
  • Execute monthly customer auto-pay transactions
  • Resolve customer questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years accounting experience with ability to interpret and apply authoritative accounting pronouncements
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate Finance and information analysis
  • Advanced modeling experience for forecasting and/or Ad Hoc Analysis
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Ability to recognize challenges and/or opportunities within available data and present findings to senior leaders for consideration
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, multi-task and manage competing priorities with multiple deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
