As the Regional Food Bank Manager, you will be based in Fort Wayne, IN and responsible to support the RMS Food Bank operations in Indianapolis and Columbus Ohio. Activities to be documented and supported through good written and verbal communication skills, clear direction and by personal example. Listed below are some of the specific duties and responsibilities; other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as identified and needed. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Observe, train and support the scan process at the food banks in Indianapolis and Columbus 
  • Responsible for routine interaction with our client as needed
  • Execute daily, weekly and monthly reports that are required by the company and client  
  • Ensure proper handling of all client products through the return process
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of the scanning process
  • Actively work the floor to sort and prepare client returns and recalls 
  • Communicate with vendors and client to arrange for return of product
  • Ensure all shipping procedures are followed and product is ready to ship when needed
  • Ensure proper pest control measures are followed
  • Ensure facility maintenance and housekeeping are kept with accordance with client and RMS standards
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse environment
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Requires ability to train facility personnel on all procedural requirements
  • Requires strict attention to detail and follow through
  • Must be self-motivated and work productively with minimal supervision
  • Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Travel of approximately 50% is required, including 1 - 3 nights per week when travelling. Remainder of time to be based in the RMS Fort Wayne office
