Product Manager – Pharma (Permanent) - NJ

Global pharmaceutical company located in Northern New Jersey seeks a Product Manager – Pharma (Permanent).  Base salary is competitive, depending on your experience.

Primary Duties

The Product Manager will support a portfolio of mature pharmaceutical brands at the company. The position manages the product portfolio to ensure that business goals and objectives are achieved. This will require continuously monitoring all aspects of the portfolio and identifying potential issues and possible solutions; gaining internal alignment and taking accountability for closure. The position requires frequent interactions with cross-functional teams across the organization including supply chain, regulatory, legal, finance, trade and market access. The position will also build and manage relationships with alliance partners and help develop the portfolio globally.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze product portfolio performance
  • Develop forecasts by providing business inputs
  • Manage agreements with global alliance partners
  • Provide interpretation of contract terms and communicate contract details with management
  • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure stable product supply
  • Manage Named Patient Programs for portfolio
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize product positioning and performance

Requirements

  • Five years of project management experience, preferably in Pharma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or communications
  • Legal background is a plus
  • Competent in handling multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Flexible and able to manage and work through change
  • Knowledge of the drug research and development process and the regulatory, reimbursement and commercial environments
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal combined with global culture understanding to enable interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Organized and high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of financial statements
