Description

Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience in a related field.

Required Experience:

  • 11 to 14 years’ of experience with at least 5 years within DoD/IC.
  • Extensive experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.) based on the specific needs of the task.

Functional Responsibility:

  • Directs the activities of specialists or other staff as necessary related to the specified security field or security discipline. Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date.
  • Personnel and physical security duties.
  • Conduct security investigation, when needed.
  • Manage the Access Control Point.
  • Assist the Security Manager in planning and supervising security support.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) concerning the handling and processing of classified and unclassified information, items and personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices.
  • Experience directing the activities of security specialists as necessary on activities related to the specified field or discipline.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.
