Job Summary and Responsibilities

AutoAlert is seeking experienced, professional Accounts Payable Specialist to support our growing number of AutoAlert clients and vendors.  The primary responsibility of this position is compiling and maintaining accounts payable records by performing the following duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Sort, code and match invoices 
  • Set invoices up for payment in Concur
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Process invoices in Concur
  • Prepare and perform manual check runs
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Prepare analysis of accounts
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Produce monthly reports
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimal Qualifications

  • Requires strong Excel and Analytical skills
  • Requires communication skills, both verbal and written, the ability to multi-task, and strong basic computer skills.

Education and/or Experience

  • 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting is a plus
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Concur experience is a plus

Candidate must possess the following qualities and characteristics
