Dynology is hiring a Senior Geospatial Intelligence Analyst in support of the U.S. Army’s Terrorism and Criminal Investigation Unit (TCIU) and its mission partners with counterterrorism, criminal investigations, fraud, logistics security, corruption, threat, and trend analysis.  The TCIU conducts global criminal investigations to substantiate alleged or suspected war crimes, acts of terrorism, committed by U.S. or non-U.S. citizens against the United States and its citizens. The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst will conduct geospatial analysis utilizing approved NGA, NRO, licensed systems at TCIU and affiliated elements to support all-source and single source requests for information or detailed intelligence analysis.

Primary Place of Performance: 90% National Capital Region at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and 10% OCONUS travel to government facilities.  Additional CONUS locations include northern Virginia, Crystal City, Quantico, VA and Washington, DC.  OCONUS locations include Jordon; Guantanamo Bay Naval Air Station, Cuba; and various CENTCOM AOR locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform exploitation and analysis of imagery and information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically significant activities in support of special agents conducting law enforcement investigations. 
  • Present various products and formats ranging from information papers, intelligence assessments, summaries, briefings, and maps. 
  • Responsible for geospatial analysis to assist all source analysis teams in the production of intelligence products and briefings for special agents conducting law enforcement investigations.
  • Perform exploitation and analysis of imagery and information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically significant activities in support of special agents conducting law enforcement investigations. 
  • Find the patterns and connections specific intelligence challenges using tools such as ArcGIS, Spatial Data Modeler, RemoteView, and SOCET GXP.
  • Briefing senior level managers quickly and thoroughly with minimal preparation and be able to react to a highly fluid environment.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and 12 to 16 years of continual experience as a geospatial analyst, including using ArcGIS, RemoteView or Socet GXP, Cedalion, Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC), and the Microsoft Office Suite; An advanced degree can be used in lieu of work experience—an advance degree is equivalent to two to three years of work experience (degree dependent).
  • Maintain current passport and visa requirements at all times and maintain the ability to be world-wide deployable to include medical clearances.
  • Experience with Geospatial/Imagery Analysis, geospatial data formats, intelligence fusion analysis, creating geospatial intelligence products, familiarity with various network domains, GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS Suite, ERDAS), and customer data products and standards.
  • Experience with identifying, compiling, and assessing geospatial and imagery data sets to support requirements.
  • Experience with quality control on reporting and/or geospatial products for accuracy, readability, and relevance.
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
  • Ability to create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products and conduct quality control checks without significant errors.
  • Ability to read and comprehend intelligence issues and counterterrorism affairs in support of law enforcement investigations, perform geospatial analysis, and present results in the form of datasets, visualization, and models for inclusion in standard and formalized intelligence analysis products.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and communication skills.
