Senior IT Support Specialist

Made In Space is looking for a Senior Information Technology Support Specialist with a minimum of 4 years of experience providing technical, network, and infrastructure support.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides professional, courteous on-site and remote troubleshooting support of Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite. Manages firewalls and network equipment (i.e. Fortigate, Cisco, etc.). Maintains and services rack mounted servers / switches / routers and other associated hardware. Develops and supports LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, Routing, VPN’s, and Firewall. Support Windows Server environments, Active Directory and GPO design & management. Also supports Wireless network setup, management and security.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of four years of experience supporting Microsoft and Linux operation systems and associated desktop applications running in a networked environment.
  • Experience with High-security environments (Security Certificates, and PIV).
  • Ability to troubleshoot & repair server & PC hardware.
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for projects and follow-through to achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including understanding of MS Office tools.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Superior hardware sourcing skills and experience.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.

Travel Required- An average of 10-15% travel may be required. Most of the travel is local but some overnight travel may be required

EDUCATION:

  • A Technical Diploma, Associates Degree or equivalent job experience and/or training.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
