Part-Time Customer Service Assistant

The Customer Service Assistant should be a bright energetic individual that processes a clear and professional speaking voice. Duties consist of fielding and handling incoming calls and emails, entering orders into our ERP system, checking stock levels, advising product lead times and delivery dates, supporting our outside sales force, maintaining customer account records and files, mailings and other clerical functions, as well as providing general assistant to all other departments.

The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and good follow through to ensure a luxury driven customer service experience. The successful candidate must be attentive to recognize problems, and s/he must be proactive in troubleshooting to solve them with a sense of urgency. The successful candidate must have good communication skills, working with customers and internal stakeholders. This position also requires work on special projects, such as assisting in running reports, light warehouse work and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • ERP system – work within ERP system to enter orders, check status, make updates and edits, advise stock levels and delivery times, etc.
  • Professional telephone and email communication.
  • Special Projects – work on special projects as requested by a manager; stuffing pillows, refolding merchandise, stuffing envelopes, ironing products, picking orders, learning phone system to act as a backup to receptionist.

Requirements:

  • High school degree required, associates degree a plus.
  • 2+years’ experience in customer service 
  • Able to work M-F (10am – 3pm)
  • Experience with ERP system. Prior experience with GCS A2000 is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy.
  • Punctual to work.
  • Able to propose recommendations to improve processes or improve efficiency.
