Fortune 500 financial services firm located in Menlo Park, CA seeks a Receptionist (Temporary) for a long-term temporary position expected to last at 6 months, possibly longer. The hourly rate is competitive and the hours are Monday - Friday, 11am - 4pm.

Primary Duties

The Receptionist is responsible for providing high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions. You will be working in a professional environment and will need to be able to greet people and be polite and professional in a very busy setting. 

  • Professionally greets and directs visitors
  • Provides information and answers the telephone or console switchboard
  • Receives and sends packages via couriers
  • Maintains visitor log and/or call record, provides security passes/badges, typing, filing or other simple clerical functions
  • Maintains conference rooms, books meetings, and troubleshoots equipment
  • Provides other administrative support as required: typing, filing, photocopying, binding books, and preparing mailers


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
