Customer Service Associate (Temporary) - NJ

Fortune 500 financial services company located in Northern Jersey seeks a Customer Service Associate (Temporary) for a long-term, temporary assignment expected to last at least six months, possibly longer.  The hourly rate is up to $19 with overtime payable.  This is a great entry level opportunity for recent college graduates with a background in Finance/Business who are interested in starting their career in finance.  Recent college graduates with customer service internships in financial services industry will be considered.

Primary Duties

The Customer Service Associate will interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about financial products and services, and to handle and resolve complaints.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries from UBS branches/clients regarding the account opening and maintenance process, including client verification and forms approval in a timely and efficient manner
  • Learn basic legal and compliance knowledge around the account process
  • Proactively track service issues and escalate them to product areas for resolution

Requirements 

  • Recent college graduates with investment banking/brokerage industry/financial services internships are preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • Financial services or brokerage industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred; High School Diploma or GED, considered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service skills and interpersonal skills 
  • Professional phone presence
  • Proficient in basic mathematical skills 
  • Ability to sustain long-term relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information 
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Outlook or data entry software
