Fortune 500 Company located in Nashville, TN seeks an HR Compliance Coordinator (Temporary) for a long-term, temporary position expected to last at least 6 months, possibly longer.  The hourly rate is up to $19.75/HR with overtime payable, depending upon experience. Must be a quick learner, with the ability to follow instruction, process flows, and fulfill administrative responsibilities. 

Primary Duties

The HR Compliance Coordinator  will support the Human Resources team by manually entering backlogged data into the departments systems. Also, you will be responsible for a wide range of organization development activities, such as employee compensation, recruitment (as it relates to policy), personnel policies and regulatory compliance. Additional duties are as follow:

  • Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification program
  • Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary
  • Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks
  • Prepare reports, such as organizational flow charts and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years customer service related experience required
  • Previous experience working effectively in a high volume data entry environment and providing office administrative support
  • Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems
  • Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
