Bilingual Corporate Contracts Paralegal (Spanish)

Dynamic company seeks a Bilingual Corporate Paralegal to work closely with the legal team to support clients and deliver innovative solutions. The base pay is in the mid- $70Ks and is bonus eligible.  Spanish language fluency is required. 

Primary Duties

  • Manage contract lifecycle from inception through execution for both English and Spanish language contracts. Communicate with the business to understand objectives, review and draft contracts, and identify key issues to assist attorneys and the business. Support attorneys in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial transactions, including sales, service, consulting, technology, licensing, non-disclosure, broker-dealer and other agreements. Track transaction details and phases and communicate progress to legal and business teams.
  • Under attorney supervision, respond to and resolve small claims matter and escalated customer complaints.
  • Assist attorneys and the business in addressing legal issues that arise in requests for proposal (RFPs), public record requests, government contracting and limited government registration systems.
  • Support and manage document productions for first party and third-party disputes and other document requests (e.g., litigation, arbitration, subpoenas, informal requests), including interfacing with record custodians and conducting document review for responsiveness and privilege.
  • Conduct research and gather information using general and legal research tools.
  • Contribute to and/or lead process improvements for legal team.
  • Other responsibilities as needs of legal team dictate, including organizing electronic files, maintaining tracking tools, and backing up administrative support when team administrative assistant is absent.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Previous contract experience is a must, with LATAM experience preferred
  • Previous experience in advertising and marketing law
  • Previous experience with an electronics company is a major plus
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience conducting legal research using computer databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to comfortably interact with all members of organization
  • A self-starter who enjoys problem solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
