Career Evolutions is searching for a Tax Accountant for a CPA firm in Scottsdale, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $55,000.
You will work closely with the Director to assist multiple clients with the month-end close process by performing various general accounting and reporting responsibilities in QuickBooks. You will participate with the coordination and monitoring of account reconciliation process, perform month-end close activities, including preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries, review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness, respond to external auditor requests, and assist with quarter-end and year-end audit schedules. You will gather, analyze, interpret, prepare and reconcile complex financial information to support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends
Perform reconciliations and maintain documentation related to balance sheet accounts such as cash, fixed assets, line of credit, accruals, etc.
Process payroll for multiple companies
Accounts Payable – process invoices and checks for payments
Prepare sales tax returns for multiple companies
Prepare annual 1099’s for multiple companies
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in multiple industries
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
